We just got a few 231c's to try as AP's. I am attempting to configure it on a TZ300 running 6.5.4.5-53n. It is our WAN/LAN as well as serves a few VPN clients. I picked a random open interface (X3, X4, etc) and assigned it as WLAN but in doing so it removes the entire DHCP scope configured for the VPN clients.

To address this, many admins have no choice but to configure multiple VPN servers or preallocate ranges of May 11 in VPN Client when I try to connect to the vpn service the manual setup of the client side gets ignored and I receive a DHCP address Category: VPN Client

Use Internal DHCP Server-Enables the SonicWall to be the DHCP server for either the Global VPN Client connections to this SonicWall or for Remote firewall connections via VPN. For this example we would only be concerned with Global VPN Client (GVC). Send DHCP requests to the server addresses listed below- The SSL VPN Client Address Range defines the IP address pool from which addresses are assigned to remote users during NetExtender sessions. The range needs to be large enough to accommodate the maximum number of concurrent NetExtender users you wish to support plus one (for example, the range for 15 users requires 16 addresses, such as 192.168.200.100 to 192.168.200.115). If the VPN tunnel is disrupted, temporary DHCP leases can be obtained from the local DHCP server. Once the tunnel is again active, the local DHCP server stops issuing leases. Enable the Obtain temporary lease from local DHCP server if tunnel is down check box. By enabling this check box, you have a failover option in case the tunnel ceases to Oops! A SonicWall NSA 220 is the router/firewall/DHCP Server for Network A, which is plugged into the X2 port. Some other router is the router/firewall/DHCP server for Network B. Both of these networks need to be managed through a VPN connection.

Hey everyone, I'm working for a customer and setup sonicwall SSL VPN (NetExtender) on their existing appliance. It works, but some of the contractors who connected had issues when I originally had it give from a DHCP scope of 192.168.1.x or 192.168.2.x because of home networking. Jul 16, 2019 · Honestly I've never found a way to create DHCP reservation in SonicWall. What I've had to do is split the scope range in same subnet. For example, if current range is 192.168.1.10-192.168.1.254, and your reserved is 192.168.1.100, then change SonicWall scope range to DHCP Lease - The Virtual Adapter will obtain its IP configuration from the DHCP Server only, as configure in the VPN > DHCP over VPN page. DHCP Lease or Manual Configuration - When the GVC connects to the firewall, the policy from the firewall instructs the GVC to use a Virtual Adapter, but the DHCP messages are suppressed if the Virtual VPN Policy bound to: Zone WAN; Click OK; Click on VPN->DHCP over VPN.
