The browser doesn't include its own proxy settings on Windows. Instead, it follows the system settings, sharing the options with Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and the Windows OS itself. Here is how to specify separate proxy settings for Chrome.
Mar 07, 2018 · A farm administrator or Search service application administrator can specify proxy server settings for sending HTTP requests to crawl content or query federated content repositories. A proxy server is a computer that functions as an intermediary to forward a client request to another server and return the results to the client. To address this issue, run these commands from your terminal or Windows command prompt, replacing username:pwd with your web proxy username and password. If your proxy doesn’t require these values, omit them. Also replace proxy.company.com:8080 with the URL and port of your company proxy. Click the “Proxy” tab to access the proxy settings for the network you selected. By default, “Direct Internet connection” is selected here. This means your Chromebook won’t use a proxy while connected to this Wi-Fi network. To have your Chromebook automatically detect and apply proxy settings, select “Automatic proxy configuration”. But I've checked and it hasn't got anything to do with that. Then it tells me to enter my proxy settings. But I haven't got a clue about where to find my proxy settings. It asks about Host, Port, Username and Password. And it allows me to choose between Auto-detect, No Proxy, HTTPS, Socks4 and Socks5. Help would very much be appreciated.
Feb 22, 2017 · Step 2: Tap the name of the WiFi network you’re connected to. Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and you’ll find a section for HTTP Proxy. This is set to Off by default. You can either set it to ‘Auto’ for automatic proxy detection or ‘Manual’ for manually configuring the proxy settings.
