He said that he wanted another one but wasn't willing to buy it until they added 802.11ac to it. It's been almost a year and a half since Apple released the AirPort Extreme with 802.11ac networking, after all. There are some things to consider, however.

This new tower design is essentially the same chassis that is also used for the Apple Time Machine product that can fit in a 3.5-inch hard drive for backing up your Apple computers. I use this Apple AirPort Extreme with a Zoom 5341 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem 5341J Zoom 5341 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem 5341J, as I did some research and found others who used this combination of devices with their Comcast/Xfinity internet service. I couldn't be happier.
