Ubuntu has already a tool to manage Startup Applications .In order to open it, go to Dash and look up the word “Start ”as shown below : Once the shortcut appears, Now, click on it. This will bring up the window below :

I am suprised that you ask this however, as Ubuntu should be running at level 5, not 3, so that you will get a graphical login client.
